san francisco has becomelike my escape.
i want to know it before i leave for college.

going to san francisco again, a random lady gave me an unlimited pass for muni,
until 6 pm. i got to go all the way to fisherman's wharf. trying to explore the city, capture

not just the pretty tourist attraction sites and sceneries, but also the heart of it,
the core of it, the secrets of it, the people in it-

makes me realize. we could be like cities... places.
i find myself comparing people with places a lot.

anyways... it's pretty comparable.
how you can fall in love with a place. like with a person. and how-
someone living in the city for a long time, and someone visiting it just as a tourist,
to take one picture and leave in front of the golden gate park. someone
who's come to capture some images . to each of their eyes,
the place could be different. they all know it differently.

how lonely and sad would the place feel if everyone who came
just crowded over its outskirts, tookpictures, "appreciated" it, and leave,
never bothering to look at the core of it? visit the center? the heart of it?
become familiar with a bit of its history?

another place analogy/comparison
people are like houses, we put up fences, paint our walls, hang signs,
plant flowers... but you may never know what's inside

'in every heart there is a room...'

'clean this old house Lord'

rooms can be furnished, decorated, occupied...
it's like the 'rooms' of our hearts and our minds
some rooms are bigger, some have more thought put into, some are busier

see, the place analogy works.
